Please read the list of notes and details below before checking the box (found in the form above) agreeing to the course terms and conditions.
Registration does not guarantee a spot and spots will be given on a first-come first-serve basis. We will be in touch shortly after form completion to verify if the courses you have selected have openings and to confirm payment and more details. If a class you have selected is full, we will add you to a waitlist and contact you to inform you and give you the option to sign up for others, if available.
Parents are welcome to remain on premise or to leave their child in the care of our class staff during the time that your child is attending the workshop. Sign in and sign out sheets will be available each class to ensure proper drop off and pick up and must be filled out prior to leaving any child. Please be sure to assess your child's comfort level and maturity to be without parental supervision. If leaving the premise please return to the farm no later than 10 minutes prior to the end of the course.
We will do our best to host the classes regardless of weather conditions, however, in the event of rain or inclement weather, there is a rain date of the following Monday at the same time of your initial course.
Sessions will take place outdoors in the midst of the natural elements, where kids will be viewing, playing and interacting with many aspects of nature including dirt, bugs, and wildlife. Any allergies, reactions, or fears to aspects of nature are to be made known to course instructors prior to session. Children may be invited to sample produce grown and foods or beverages including that produce.
Certain lessons may include interactions with livestock including chickens, your child may be invited at their own comfort level to pet or hold baby chicks.
Your child's safety and health are (of course) our first priority and we will do everything to make sure the environment reflects that in a warm and loving way. Please check the box below indicating you understand that while all workshops are designed to be safe, fun, and enjoyable, the outdoor environment includes factors that are outside of the control of our staff. All children are expected to act in a manner that is safe and respectful and that would not put themselves or any other child in harms way. Your child's participation is voluntary, to their own comfort level, and while we take every precaution to minimize risks, it's important to acknowledge the inherent nature of outdoor activities. By enrolling your child in our program, you understand that Folks Farm and Market and its staff cannot be held responsible for any injuries sustained during the course of activities. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a safe and enjoyable learning experience for all participants!
Certain sessions may include professional photography of your child interacting with nature outdoors. Photo consent is entirely optional and up to the parents discretion. If you would like to opt out of having your childs face shown in any photos from the course, please add a note saying “photo opt out” to the comments section above prior to submitting your form.
