terms and conditions
By registering for Seed to Supper, participants acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
Participation and Assumption of Risk
Seed to Supper is an immersive agritourism experience that takes place on working farms, vineyards, agricultural facilities, and other partner properties throughout South Jersey. It occurs at multiple independently owned locations. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from all program events.
Participants understand that agricultural environments contain inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Uneven terrain
Mud, rocks, roots, and natural obstacles
Farm equipment and machinery
Livestock and domestic animals
Insects, bees, and other wildlife
Exposure to weather conditions including heat, rain, wind, and sun
Food preparation areas and open-fire cooking demonstrations
By participating, attendees voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance and participation.
Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants release and hold harmless Folks Farm & Market, its owners, employees, volunteers, instructors, guest presenters, partner farms, collaborating businesses, property owners, and event sponsors from any claims, damages, injuries, losses, or liabilities arising from participation in Seed to Supper.
This release includes activities occurring at Folks Farm & Market as well as any collaborating farm, vineyard, agricultural business, educational venue, or event location associated with the program.
Health and Medical Responsibility
Participants are responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for their physical condition.
Attendees agree to notify event organizers of any serious medical conditions, allergies, or accessibility needs that may impact participation.
In the event of a medical emergency, Seed to Supper organizers may seek emergency medical assistance on behalf of the participant. Any associated costs remain the responsibility of the participant.
Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
Seed to Supper experiences include tastings, samples, and a culminating farm-to-table dinner.
While reasonable efforts may be made to accommodate dietary restrictions, Folks Farm & Market cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Participants with severe food allergies attend and consume food at their own discretion and risk.
Photography and Media
Seed to Supper events may be photographed or recorded for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes.
By participating, attendees grant Folks Farm & Market permission to use photographs, video, and audio recordings in future marketing materials, social media, websites, and promotional content without compensation.
Participants wishing to opt out should notify event organizers in writing prior to attendance.
Weather, Schedule Changes, and Unforeseen Circumstances
Rain date for the Orchard Dinner will be held the following day, Monday, September 21.
Event dates, locations, presenters, and programming may be modified due to weather, crop conditions, presenter availability, public safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond the organizers' control.
Folks Farm & Market reserves the right to substitute presenters, modify programming, reschedule events, or relocate experiences when necessary.
Reasonable efforts will be made to communicate changes promptly.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Registration does not guarantee a slot in the program. Program slots will be given on a first come first served basis, and only payment guarantees program enrollment. Because space is limited and planning occurs well in advance, all payments are considered final.
Refunds will not be issued for:
Scheduling conflicts
Missed gatherings
Participant cancellations
Failure to attend
If Folks Farm & Market cancels an event and is unable to provide a reasonable substitute, reschedule opportunity, or comparable experience, a partial or full refund may be issued at the sole discretion of the organizers.
Registrations can be transferred with prior approval.
Right to Refuse Participation
Folks Farm & Market reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any individual whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, threatening, or inconsistent with the goals of the program. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
Agreement
By completing registration, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and voluntarily accept all associated risks of participation.
